Serpent Tales & Nightingales
Keep Silent Ancient Christmas Carols
At The Back Of The North Wind

Who can say they’ve lived a life
In which their dreams are not betrayed?
And who can still defend a cause
When dreams of life and hope
Are broken and decayed?

I look back to gaze upon
The road from whence I came
At the start it looked so
Bright and promising,
Looking back it’s death and shame.

A landscape of veridian
And sparkling streams azure,
Now turned to gray
They fade away
To reveal a lifeless cure.
